VAIN & MORTAL

Shipping & Delivery

Effective and last reviewed: 12 October 2026.

VAIN & MORTAL uses a UK-based print-on-demand fulfilment provider. Some items are produced or printed after you order, so every delivery estimate includes production and carrier time.

Where we deliver

At launch we deliver to addresses in the United Kingdom. The services, charges and estimates available for the address and order are shown at checkout before payment.

Production and dispatch

Our fulfilment provider normally requires 3–5 working days to produce, quality-check and prepare an order for dispatch. Working days exclude weekends and UK bank holidays.

Delivery services and charges

Important: every option includes the normal 3–5 working-day production and quality-check period before dispatch. Paying for Express changes only the carrier service after dispatch; it does not speed up production.

  • Royal Mail Tracked 48 — Standard: £4.99 for orders under £60. Carrier delivery normally takes 2–3 working days after production and dispatch.
  • Royal Mail Tracked 24 — Free Express Shipping: £0 for orders of £60 or more. Carrier delivery normally takes 1–3 working days after the usual 3–5 working-day production period. This free service uses Royal Mail Tracked 24, not the separately priced DPD Express courier.
  • DPD Courier — Express: £9.99. The normal production period still applies. Carrier delivery is normally the next working day after dispatch where the service is available for the address.

As a practical guide, paid Standard (Tracked 48) orders normally take approximately 5–8 working days from order to delivery, Free Express Shipping (Tracked 24) approximately 4–8 working days, and DPD Express approximately 4–6 working days. These are estimates, not guaranteed dates. The checkout service, charge and estimate form part of the order.

Peak periods, stock issues, bank holidays, severe weather and carrier disruption can cause delays. Unless a different period is agreed, we deliver without undue delay and no later than 30 days after the contract is made.

If delivery by a particular date is essential, contact us before ordering so that we can confirm whether that date can be agreed. Statutory rights if goods arrive late are unaffected.

Tracking

Where a tracked service is used, tracking details are sent when available. Tracking may take a short time to update after dispatch.

Split shipments

An order may occasionally arrive in more than one parcel. If we split it for fulfilment reasons, you will not be charged an extra delivery fee because of that decision.

Delivery address

Provide a complete and accurate delivery address. If you notice an error, email support@vainandmortal.co.uk immediately. We will try to correct it before fulfilment or dispatch but cannot promise a change once processing has begun.

Risk and delivery

Goods remain at our risk until delivered into your physical possession, or into the physical possession of a person you identify to receive them, except where the law provides otherwise because you independently appoint a carrier that we did not offer.

Lost, damaged or significantly delayed parcels

If tracking shows an unexpected delay, a parcel has not arrived within the estimate, or it is damaged in transit, contact support@vainandmortal.co.uk with the order number. We will investigate with the carrier or fulfilment provider and provide the remedy required in the circumstances.

You do not need to pursue the carrier yourself. A carrier or supplier claim deadline does not shorten your statutory rights against VAIN & MORTAL.

Cancellations and returns

For cancellation rights, return steps, refund timing and faulty-goods remedies, read our Returns & Refunds Policy. A standard catalogue item is not excluded from change-of-mind rights merely because it is produced or printed after purchase.
