Rowena Searby-Rodgers
Rowena Searby-Rodgers is a multidisciplinary artist with over 30 years of creative practice. Working across drawing, ink, painting and mixed media, her work is informed by a strong interest in visual storytelling and technique, complemented by her degree in Television and Film Production.
Her current practice explores darker, macabre themes, using mixed media to create atmospheric and evocative works. Through layered textures, mark-making and contrasting materials, Rowena seeks to capture the unsettling, mysterious and often beautiful aspects of the darker side of the imagination.

Current VAIN & MORTAL Project
Depression. Recovery. Rebirth.
Renna is developing a connected collection with VAIN & MORTAL around depression, recovery and rebirth. The artwork comes first; garment development follows only when the translation can keep the character of the original work intact.
No release date has been attached to the project. We will share the work as it develops rather than promise it before it is ready.
Every original artwork used by VAIN & MORTAL will also be made available as a mounted print on 100% cotton canvas, beginning with this piece.
