Current Projects
Some work arrives finished. Some of it has to be lived with, pulled apart and rebuilt before it earns a place on a garment. This is where we show a little of what is moving through VAIN & MORTAL™ before it becomes a finished release.
There are deliberately no launch dates here. The work will be released when the artwork, garment and print are right.
In development · Renna
Depression. Recovery. Rebirth.
Renna is building a connected body of work around depression, recovery and rebirth: not as three neat stages, but as things that can overlap, fracture and begin again.
The piece above is one of the foundation artworks we are developing from. It is being allowed to remain artwork first; garment work comes after, and only when the translation preserves what made the original worth using.
Artwork developmentProject Wendigo · Shannon Iero
Something is taking shape beyond the treeline.
Project Wendigo is an original VAIN & MORTAL collaboration in development with tattoo artist Shannon Iero.
For now, the design stays where it belongs: mostly in the dark. No mock-up. No manufactured reveal. Just the knowledge that Shannon is working with a subject that sits very comfortably in our world — and that we are giving it room to become properly unsettling.
We will show more when there is something worth showing.

Mounted 100% cotton canvas editions.
Every original artwork used by VAIN & MORTAL will also be made available as a mounted print on 100% cotton canvas, beginning with Renna’s piece above. The artwork will be presented as artwork — not as a clothing mock-up — with availability details published when each edition is ready.
